The CVS Pharmacy at the corner of US78 and Rockdale Circle (across the street from Quick Trip) now has a machine near the front that you can scan your ExtraCare card and it will print out 1-3 store coupons!
I successfully matched a $3 store coupon that printed from that with a $2 Manufacturer's coupon for Excedrin priced at 5.49.
So the Excedrin was only .49 cents plus tax!
CVS is offering ExtraBucks coupons back when you purchase $20 worth of Excedrin. That was more than I wanted/needed to get, so I passed on that and just went for my one ultra-cheap bottle of Excedrin.
There's an Excedrin rebate going on too, so I will get $4.99 back in a rebate check in a few weeks.
After taxes and postage to mail in the rebate, I will profit about $4.
You can really get some good deals by carefully browsing the CVS ExtraBucks and deals. Here is a blog with a great post to explain how you can get a great return on your money by shopping with coupons and ExtraBucks.
A word of caution regarding this CVS though - because their checkout area is so small (about 18"x18" if that), if you are making a large amount of purchases, errors can easily be made - I have had items scanned twice. Make it a habit of looking over your receipt!
