The Avenue® Webb Gin welcomes 5 new retailers and restaurants

Snellville Ga.  – September 16, 2010 – The Avenue® Webb Gin is welcoming five new retailers and restaurants this fall, including Gary’s Bistro, Genesis Salon, Peachwave Frozen Yogurt, Peter’s Path and Which Wich? Superior Sandwiches...

Gary’s Bistro, founded by attorney, philanthropist and Gwinnett resident Gary Martin Hays, offers fresh, organic cuisine in a relaxed, elegant atmosphere.  In addition, the restaurant features a stylish, sophisticated wine bar and a gourmet selection of martinis and after dinner drinks.  Now open, Gary’s Bistro will host a grand opening celebration September 17-18.

Opening in November, Genesis Salon offers clients a full range of hair care services at competitive prices in an upbeat, energetic atmosphere.  Founded by Brian Perdue, a Snellville native, Genesis Salon is a part of the 124 Group, which operates six other salons throughout metro Atlanta.  Each 124 Group stylist is educated at the Process Institute of Cosmetology, the group’s private training facility, where they learn the fashion-forward trends and techniques of a world-class salon organization.

Peachwave is a specialty self serve frozen yogurt retailer, offering more than 25 yogurt flavors and more than 40 toppings, including fresh and dried fruit. With more than 10 locations throughout the Midwest, The Avenue Webb Gin location will be Peachwave’s first in Georgia.

Peters Path, a socially conscious boutique committed to connecting its customers with worthy causes, recently relocated from Lawrenceville to a larger retail space at The Avenue Webb Gin for an expanded collection of trend-setting clothing, organic styles, accessories and home goods.  A portion of all proceeds go to non-profit organizations that promote equality and empowerment, fight poverty and foster community service. Peters Path is now open.

Which Wich? Superior Sandwiches offers more than 50 varieties of sandwiches, including its famous double meat Wicked.  Local franchisers Gary and Melynda Birnberg own two other Which Wich locations, one in Norcross and one at The Avenue Forsyth in Cumming.  After opening in January 2010, The Avenue Forsyth quickly grew to one of the top 10 Which Wich? stores in the country, prompting the couple to expand to another Avenue location.

“We’re excited to announce the opening of these new restaurant, retail and salon options to our loyal shoppers,” said Megan Jurkovic – marketing manager, The Avenue Webb Gin.  “This expansion of The Avenue’s already dynamic shopping mix sets the stage for a very strong holiday shopping season and further growth in the years to come.  Our shoppers have requested more local stores and fast, casual restaurants, and we are excited to see these types of businesses expanding in the community and choosing The Avenue Webb Gin as their new location.”
