buybuy BABY will fill the old Snellville Circuit City location

A new store is coming to the space previously occupied by Circuit City in the Presidential Commons shopping center on Scenic Highway. This is the same shopping center that houses Kroger, Joann Etc., Party City and Home Depot.

The new store is called buybuy BABY. The store will be about 28,000 square feet and is scheduled to open sometime this summer. Here is a photo of the interior of one of the company's existing locations, so you can see what to expect.

buybuy BABY was founded in 1996 and acquired by Bed Bath & Beyond in 2007. The Chain now operates over 30 stores that range in size from 28,000 to 60,000 square feet.

This is good news for expectant parents and grandparents, who will no longer have to drive to Duluth or elsewhere for baby equipment and products at competitive prices. It will be fierce competition for New Baby Products, which has been in the New London Plaza for many years.
